- **Section** - Configuration

## Frequency band

- Wi-Fi should operate on the **2.4 GHz frequency band**.

- The IoT device does not support **5 GHz** and will not connect to 5 GHz networks.

## File system for Wi-Fi configuration pendrive

- The pendrive used for Wi-Fi configuration should have the **FAT32** or **exFAT** file system.

## Network visibility

- The Wi-Fi network's **SSID (network name)** should be visible and not hidden.

## Password protection

- The Wi-Fi network should be **password protected** for security purposes.

- A **strong and secure password** should be used to prevent unauthorized access.

- We support the **WPA2 authentication protocol**.

## Wi-Fi channels

- Wi-Fi channels used should comply with the allowed channels in India for the 2.4 GHz band.

- The following channels are permitted in India: Channel 1 (2.412 GHz), Channel 2 (2.417 GHz), Channel 3 (2.422 GHz), Channel 4 (2.427 GHz), Channel 5 (2.432 GHz), Channel 6 (2.437 GHz), Channel 7 (2.442 GHz), Channel 8 (2.447 GHz), Channel 9 (2.452 GHz), Channel 10 (2.457 GHz), Channel 11 (2.462 GHz)

**A step-by-step Wi-Fi configuration manual is available as a PDF from <support@iotready.com>.**

Please ensure that the Wi-Fi setup adheres to the above requirements, including the specific Wi-Fi channels allowed in India for the 2.4 GHz band. This will ensure compatibility with the IoT device, maintain security, and comply with local regulations.
