# Odoo integration with RFID, IoT and AI

> Odoo Inventory keeps the stock ledger. RFID, scanners and scales on the floor feed it validated movements through Odoo's external API.

Odoo's Inventory app is a capable ledger, and like every ledger it believes what it's told. We're the part that tells it the truth.

Odoo is one of the systems the workspace connects to directly. You set it up under Connections, the same way as the others. The steps are in [Connect your ERP](https://iotready.com/docs/platform/erp.md).

## RFID for Odoo

Tag the stock and read it at the door. A UHF reader at a dock reads up to 700 tags a second, and the multi-antenna version tells you which way a tag went. In Odoo that becomes a receipt or a delivery against the right transfer, without anyone scanning each carton.

## IoT for Odoo

Scales, scanners and sensors write into IoTReady Engine. A rule checks each reading before anything goes near Odoo. A pallet that weighs 6% under the order is held for a person to look at, and a clean one posts on its own.

## AI for Odoo

The Engineer, the AI built into Engine, takes a description of the flow and sets up the rule for you to review. Claude and ChatGPT can connect to the workspace too, and answer questions about stock and orders from live data. See [AI connectors](https://iotready.com/docs/platform/ai-connectors.md).

## What the connection needs

Odoo exposes an external API for reading and writing its records. We need the address of your Odoo instance, the database name, and a user with an API key limited to what the flow touches.
