Overview
Bolts, ties or sticks onto a pallet, crate or piece of equipment and broadcasts its identity continuously, so any BLE gateway in range hears it. PHY Coded BLE 5.0 stretches that range to roughly 150 m in open space, well past what a single anchor needs to cover a warehouse aisle or a yard.
At a one-second advertising interval the lithium cell is rated for two years or more, so a tag on a returnable pallet or a piece of capital equipment survives several stock-takes before it needs a swap.
