Overview

A temperature log nobody can tie to a specific pallet proves nothing. The value is in the binding between the reading and the identity of the stock it was taken next to. Bind put-away to a chamber and an excursion resolves to a list of pallets, so a despatch carries the temperature history of the stock on it.

Workflow

Receiving, processing, dispatching

The three acts every inventory operation reduces to. Each step below is a point where identity, quantity or context gets captured.

  1. Receiving

    Inbound at the dock, where the cold chain is most often broken.

    1. Read the consignment tag before the door is opened
    2. Capture pulp temperature against the consignment identity
    3. Weigh in to confirm the quantity delivered against the invoice
    4. Accept, reject or accept-under-protest on the spot, with the evidence attached

  2. Processing

    Storage, with excursions caught as they happen.

    1. Log chamber and rack temperature continuously against location
    2. Bind every put-away to a chamber, so an excursion names the stock it touched
    3. Rotate on first-expiry-first-out from the scanned lot
    4. Raise an excursion alert to the operator on the floor

  3. Dispatching

    Load-out with the chain intact and provable.

    1. Pre-cool and verify the vehicle before loading
    2. Scan out at the gate against the trip manifest
    3. Attach the temperature history to the despatch record
    4. Hand the customer a chain of custody they can audit
