Overview

Ten-minute delivery leaves no room to reconcile anything afterwards. Every correction has to happen while the crate is still on the dock and the rider is still in the store.

Workflow

Receiving, processing, dispatching

The three acts every inventory operation reduces to. Each step below is a point where identity, quantity or context gets captured.

  1. Receiving

    Inbound from the mother warehouse, under time pressure.

    1. Scan the inbound crate QR at the dock
    2. Weigh and dimension on the profiler to confirm the pack against the ASN
    3. Flag short and damaged lines before the vehicle leaves
    4. Post the goods receipt to the ERP automatically

  2. Processing

    Put-away and picking against a bin map that is never more than minutes old.

    1. Put away to a scanned bin
    2. Pick against the live bin map on the handheld
    3. Confirm loose quantities by weight on the scale
    4. Cycle count the fastest-moving bins daily

  3. Dispatching

    Rider handover, reconciled at the gate.

    1. Scan each order out against the rider manifest
    2. Capture the handover with operator, rider and timestamp
    3. Reconcile returns and refusals back into stock on the same scan
