Every module carries a serial for twenty-five years of warranty, so the trail is a contractual requirement and the only question is what it costs to capture.

Module-level traceability is already a contractual requirement. The choice is whether it comes off the line as production runs, or gets reconstructed from spreadsheets when a warranty claim arrives.

Receiving, processing, dispatching

The three acts every inventory operation reduces to. Each step below is a point where identity, quantity or context gets captured.

  1. Receiving

    Cells, glass, backsheet and frame, received against a lot.

    1. Scan the incoming lot barcode on the pallet
    2. Weigh and dimension the pallet to verify against the packing list
    3. Bind supplier lot to internal lot at the point of receipt
    4. Quarantine on receipt until incoming inspection releases the lot
  2. Processing

    Stringing to lamination, with module serials born on the line.

    1. Print and apply the module serial at the layup station
    2. Bind cell lot, glass lot and encapsulant lot to the module serial
    3. Record flash test class and power bin against the serial
    4. Route rework by scan so the genealogy survives the detour
  3. Dispatching

    Palletisation and despatch to the project.

    1. Scan each module onto its pallet to build the pallet manifest
    2. Weigh and dimension the pallet for the freight declaration
    3. Issue the despatch manifest with serials, bins and pallet identities
    4. Hand the project the serial list it will need at commissioning
