Delivery audit
Configure the data logger by QR code, weigh a package against its ID, and read the result off the indicator light.
Configuring the Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi for the IoTReady data logger devices can be configured using QR codes generated in a specific format that has been detailed in this document.
To create these QR codes, any QR code generator software application can be used.
For this guide, we will use the-qrcode-generator.com.
When using this website, make sure you are using the “FREE TEXT” tab.
-
QR code for SSID:
conf:ssid:wifi_nameWherewifi_nameis the SSID of the Wi-Fi network. -
QR code for Password:
conf:password:pwdWherepwdis the password of the Wi-Fi network.
- Scan the QR codes (first the SSID, then the password) generated using the barcode scanner attached to the data logger.
- You should see the
wifi_nameandpwdon the LCD display. - Restart the device.
- The device will now try to connect to the Wi-Fi credentials provided using the QR codes.
Usage
- The user places a package with a Unique ID in the Data Logger.
- The data logger scans the ID.
- The ID will appear on the Data Logger’s screen. For some use cases, additional details like hub and trip information will also be displayed.
- Once the ID appears, place the package on the weighing scale.
- When the weight stabilizes, a yellow indication will appear, meaning the data logger is sending data to the server.
-
A green light means the audit is successful.
-
A red light means the audit has failed.
-
A blue light indicates an API error.
